I started lifting weights at the age of 15 with a personal trainer who changed my life and my self love. At the time, I was overweight and very out of shape. Weightlifting transformed my body, soul, and mind. It has been my first love in fitness ever since. However, today I have expanded my fitness horizons to running, cycling, yoga, kick boxing and more.
Why I Love It:
I love intense exercise because it brings you into the present moment. When you are working hard you have no time to concentrate on the past or what you need to do in the future. It silences the voice in my head, which is always good, and brings me peace of mind, i.e. happiness.
How I Stay Motivated:
No matter my state of fitness, I have vowed to love my body. That being said I feel like I can always improve. I firmly believe thoughts have just as much power in your results as your actions. I also like to read up on tips and other people's success stories in magazines and online.
BB Accomplishments:
I have not been clinically overweight since may 2005 and never will be again!

This is also over a year ago. This picture motivated me to put it into high gear and now I finally have the time. My body fat was about 23%. My waist was about 28 inches, and I weighed between 126-128.
Fight the Fluff in Six Weeks with the best ladies on this site!!!!
Goal (Long):
Get even more lean (15% bf) and continue to live a healthy lifestyle. To always look good in a bikini. To get rid of that last little spare tire around my waist and the tiny bit of flab on my lower back, butt and hips.
I have such great definition underneath it. It is a shame to hide all that hard work behind a small layer of fat that can come off in a matter of weeks with discipline.
Note: Update is early as I will be out of town and away from a computer from Thursday to Sunday. Just know I am sending super positive vibes your way and thinking of all of you. Happy Fourth of July!!! I will have comments when I return.
HELLO, de-fluffers! What a week I have had. The...

Thanks for the comment, I had a feeling that would come across that way.. I really am taking 100% of the positive from last week.. I probably should rename the subject of that one huh.. lol and I should have waited a day to write it.. haha well, thanks so much for the support.. trying to keep up with you guys has been fun!!.. :)
Judging from your name do you do a lot of Spin classes? I was thinking about starting that up again for some extra good cardio (to pass the time easier) about two days per week once I'm more into leaning out...about 6 weeks out or so. What do you think of it as far as leaning out is concerned?
Oh my gosh, I've never been to DC, how exciting that must be!! And yeah, that's gotta be the 4th on steroids - I can imagine the celebratory patriotism that goes on there!! Have a super fantastic time and travel safely!! Much love, chica!
Thanks babe!!! That's awesome you're doing a 6 week challenge, I just LOVE stuff like that. Its fun to have a lot of other girls involved too!!! Let me know when u post pics from it, are you gonna post before/afters??? I hope so!
Hi my love! The move went well, thank you! I hope you are having a great week defluffing... I forgot to ask, any vacations this summer, or is all the travelling mostly with work?
Ankles are somewhat okay, but I think it's better that I'm only running 4-6 rather than 8-10. Yeah, weight lifting is great - you've done some awesome workouts from what I can see on your blog - great work!!
I know, definitely excited about the weekend, though it's going to be stressful not drinking at the bachelorette party! Do you have any exciting plans?
