When I Started:
Jun, 2009
How I Started:
I was a moderately fit 110 lbs. until around the time I had my first child. I gained a good bit of weight and ended up at 135. For a few years, I stayed around 135. I started wanting to get in shape and lowered my body fat and got down to 130, but it seemed like every time I got going exercising and seeing results, I would get pregnant again. I never could keep my energy levels up enough in my first trimester to continue exercising. Well, I had my third child 17 months ago,and I have been dieting and exercising sporadically since with no real direction, going between 125-130. Recently, I have just had enough of being average, eating wrong, and feeling less than great. So a few weeks ago, I got a new kind of inspiration that I don't think I could get rid of if I tried! My outlook is totally different, and after starting a new diet, I feel fantastic and can't get enough of exercising and lifting. I LOVE it! So that's my story. I'm officially hooked.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel energetic and POWERFUL!
How I Stay Motivated:
I get on Bodybuilding.com, and I look in the mirror and take note of what I like and what I want to improve.
BB Accomplishments:
Just getting started and feeling so motivated is a major accomplishment for me at this point. But I do hope I can write something more significant here one day.
To reach my ideal weight of 110-115 lbs. and stay there, while building muscle and losing fat.
Goal (Long):
After three children, my body is not in optimal shape. I want to be proud of my figure again instead of apologizing for it. Most importantly, I want to like what I see when I look in the mirror.
Although he is totally oblivious to the fact, Kris is my personal trainer for the next 12 weeks, so he'd better be inspiring! Really, I appreciate that he has made the 12-week video trainer program to help us newbies get off to a good start. Plus he has a nice accent!
So I am following Kris Gethin's 12-week program to get started, and I'll have you know I am WEAK! I have a long way to go. But getting started is a huge step toward my goal, so I don't mind.
Not too bad for a first day, but I look forward to much improvement.
