I have been lifting since my freshman year in high school. Mainly training for my sports but never took it to serious. After I joined the marines and got to my MOS school I started lifting seriously. That was January of 2007 since then I have gained a solid 30 pounds! Right now my current weight is 207 but am really looking to get past 220. After i get the weight then im going to train sport specific.
Why I Love It:
Its such a rush when you get up that weight you have been wanting all along. Breaking personal records! Getting away from everything else...good or bad a break is always good. Its what keeps me going mentally and physically!
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading articles, watching sports, constantly learning new things about the body. Music! There are a lot of other things that keep me going as well!
BB Accomplishments:
Gaining 30 pounds in just over a year and keeping it on! finally broke 1000 pounds on the leg press for 6 reps! (had a severe ankle injury for the past 14 months so doing that is something I am really proud of!)

This was right before I started lifting seriously. 180lbs...I was in my MOS school at the time.
I want to improve my overall athletic ability. Not to bad right now, always room for improvement! Not sport specific right now but leaning toward lots of explosion movements and power building!

Yeah, I just ate lunch ... I'm slow now. Ha! 3 more hours until vacation! I'm only working 2 days next week ... so excited. I have a girls trip next weekend with my girlfriends. Wrist and knee straps? Yeah, you can really tear up the squat rack now.

way to go! I trained legs 2 days in a row (following a late night rain soaked bike ride), tried to split it up, glutes yesterday, quads today...I may not be able to walk tomorrow.
