When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
Wanted to gain weight all my life and finally started. Was starting to get some age related pain and found out lifting helps.
Why I Love It:
Started taking some weights to work in the back of my truck. They helped to releive some of the pain associated with repetive motion using a trowel. Found out they helped my back as well. Lifting helps with age related aches and pains. I feel like im 20 again
How I Stay Motivated:
I have gotten some of my employees lifting some of the weights I carry in my truck, Now we take our breaks and lift or do pushups or situps the guys actually enjoy it. Now they work harder on breaks!!
BB Accomplishments:
Right now I am just trimer and more defined. I did not have much extra weight on me but like the looks of more defined muscle. And the best part is having abs at the age of 44!
I know I should not complain but have always been to slim. Have tried to gain weight all my life and have just started body building. Am now taking protien and creatine but still am weighing the same 150#. Have only been taking it about a month so I will give it some time. If anyone...
abs at 44! Bill, that rocks! Just keep plugging away. On the down side, it'll probably take you longer to gain 10 lbs of muscle than others, but on the plus side 10 lbs on you will probably look better than 20 lbs on most folks. A person on the thin side really shows the benefit of every ounce of muscle you add to your frame. Ignore that darn scale for the next 6 months! :)
