How I Started:
I am in the background for LAPD. And CHP so I need to get into much better shape to properly perform my job on a day to day basis and to survive the academy.
Why I Love It:
I find I have more energy, less body pains, and all around have a good time doing it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Working out with other people, my personal trainer (Meet once a week for 5 weeks.) Reading Muscle and Fitness magazine.

This photo was taken the night I signed up for the gym, but I had not worked out once yet.
this is where I am at now.. yeah a ways to go before I look like the guy above.
To burn off fat mass and replace it with muscel mass. as tryouts for season 3 of American Gladiators nears I want to boost my sprinting stamina.
Goal (Long):
My long term goal is to lose a total of 35 lbs (From 215 lbs down to 180 lbs) gaining some muscle definition at the same time, then bulk back up to 200 lbs and not become huge but ripped.
Workout
Wide Grip Pull Downs - 120x8 - 3 sets
Close Grip Pull Downs - 100x10 - 3 sets
One Arm Bent Over Rows - 30x8 - 3 sets
Cardio
I got to the gym late this morning so it basically was a warm up and cool down cardio set
10 minutes on Tredmill at level 4.0
5 minutes on tredmill at...
I work out 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
Each workout I start out on the Stationary bike for a 10 minute warm up then I work the days body parts, after my work out I like to run on the Treadmill and finish off with a 10 minute cool down walking on...
Pfft!! Man I'm not doing a show this year:( Going to have to wait till next year...I wrote a blog why I'm not competing this year!
Back to clean bulking:)

I'll check out the Palmdale club and trainers again next week. One of the trainers at the Lancaster club is also a therapist; she fixed a leg issue for me at her other office.
They are building a new Lancaster club on K next to the Target to replace Lancaster; it will be a sport so it will have the pool, the weights, the cardio, the classes, and a basketball court.
