Personal Info And Background:
Real Name: Royce
Sex: Male
Age: 37
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Occupation: Clerical / Admin
Personal Website:
Gym: YM/YWCA
Gym Location: Downtown Winnipeg, MB
When I Started: Aug, 2007
How I Started: Started a membership at the YM/YWCA in my home town about April of 2006 and only used it a few months before allowing other aspects of my life to get in the way. Continued to pay for a membership I wasn't using until I began to realize, through constant flare ups of my arthritis and recurring illness, how little attention I've paid to my personal well-being in recent years, and how important it was that this become a new priority in my life.
Why I Love It: The sense of accomplishment I feel as I meet each new short term goal and sense of well being I feel from doing something that's just for me and no one else.
How I Stay Motivated: I have an arthritis condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis where a couple of the vertebra in my lower spine have begun to fuse together - the result of trama from a car accident several years back. So for me, my main motivation is to maintain my mobility, health and physical strength as long as possible. My family is my other big focus. Knowing that if I keep up what I've started in 10 years time I'll be playing sports with my children instead of watching from the stands in a wheelchair is more than enough reason to stay on track and constantly work towards acheiving and maintaining my peak physical condition.

Main Goal: Transform My Body
Goal (Short): To add some size in my chest, biceps, back and shoulders while toning shaping areas such as my triceps, abs and lower body.
Goal (Long): It's my goal by my next birthday to reduce my body fat to 10% or less, my weight to between 185-190lbs and to add several inches to my chest and arms, minimizing the strain I presently place on back. I want see some nice definition in my shoulders and legs, those nice vein lines in my biceps and thighs and to see a decent start (at least) to a well shaped six-pack.
Weight Goal: I want to LOSE 15 lb

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
It doesn't bother me, but I will occassionally breath a little more loudly during the last few reps of an especially solid set.

Things are going pretty good. Last day of school tom....it's going to be nice to be able to sleep in a little and not have to stick to a routine.

Things have been great. We took the kids to Disneyland last week, so I didn't workout for 5 days...I feel flabby...I hate it!! I didn't do bad with meals, but it was pretty hard to eat clean 6 times a day. Oh well, I just need to bust ass this week.
