When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
About 3.5 years ago I was diagnosed (after many months of being severely sick) with Vasiculitis. Due the very heavy doses of medications ( prednisone, chemo) -I have gained about 45 lbs. I have always been a small person at my heaviest about 112lbs. This Christmas I weighed in at hefty 160. This shocked me. I decided to take control of my body. I started slowly weening myself off some of the medications as the side effects are not so pleasant and decided to start excersing. I was tired of being exhausted all the time. I was tired of using my condition to be lazy. I know this disease is the reason why this happended to me but some of that weight was just from me giving up. So I decided to make a change. I know I will always be on some kind of medication but I could at least try to be healthier. So far I have lost about 10lbs in 4 months which is encourgaging. At first I could only walk for 15-20 min at a time without hurting or being exhausted, then over time I moved to the ellipital for 10 min at a time. I am proud to say I can do 60+ min a day on the elliptical and have been lifting weights. I have lost about 10lbs slow but its happening and have a considerable amount more energy. I know I will always need to be careful and I probably will never fully be off the meds, as I suffer from lapses here and there but everyday I focus on making a change. This whole experience has made me stronger and taught me NOT to give up, no matter what the odds against you are.

hwy2hottie- is AMAZING. She has transformed her body like you would not believe. She is such an inspiration to me. She never gives up- is always kicking some butt and always stays on top of her game and keeps me positive. She keeps it real and is a great supporter of others on their journey.
mrinkysplaytoy- is another example of pure achievement. This girl is kickin butt and keeps it real in her blogs. She has done an amazing job in transforming her body and is a true inspiration to me. Thanks for all your support!
Yesterday I went to the store and bought all kind of clean items, then came home and cooked the chicken for the week. Had a great eating day, no cheats not even a taste. Going to try and keep up this burst of momentum!
Of course lots of water is important too!

girl, busy is the magic word these days! but when is it going to slow down, really?! just keep writing things on paper and you find time for all of it! but stick to your planning cuz if you dont write it down and you try to fit it in, you knock off the priorities.
My weekend was good, had some nice hard workouts and ate pretty damn clean. I read your blog too. Make all of your food for the week on Sunday night. I swear that makes it sooo much easier to stick to the diet. How was your weekend?
