After a few false starts going all the way back to high school, I finally started seriously (systematically) lifting and pursuing martial arts in 1986. It has been an up and down battle to balance career, and other factors with my fitness regimen.
Why I Love It:
I'm a firm beliver in keeping healthy in Mind, Body, and Spirit. Working out allows me to keep my sanity, and also it challenges me to strive harder and to succeed.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation is definitely a struggle for me, but I try and keep my eye on a mental image of my results. I know how I want to look, so I try to always visualize it.
BB Accomplishments:
My best days are yet to come!

This pic was taken at my absolute worst. Like 250, 60 percent bodyfat (Kidding)
This is a little better than last year. Still got a ways to go though... (Don't laugh!)
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I had dislocated my shoulder in a fight when I was younger, and about three years after that I was doing lat pulldowns and it popped out again. I didn't go back to the gym for two years after that, but because of college and work schedules, not the injury.I had dislocated my shoulder in a fight when I was younger, and about three years after that I was doing lat pulldowns and it popped out again. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
I believe that it's improper technique, and trying to go too heavy. People who go too heavy are not there for their own workout, but to impress the crowd.

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Anything overhead can be dangerous, or an exercise that can injure lower back can also be dangerous, if not done properly.
OK, I took both dogs for a run today, and I clocked in at 27:07.04. That's a little less than I like to run; I like to keep it at least 30 minutes, but that's OK. I'll also do decline push-ups, and jump rope. I'm working my way up to 100 continuous reps on the rope. Right now, it's about...

I just thought that I would drop you a line to tell you that my wife, and your friend (bodyspace: judimax) is having a birthday on Saturday April 5th and is turning 48. I think she looks fantastic for not only 48 but for any age, but then again I am biased. If you get a chance she would be surprised (and love it) if you would drop by and wish her a Happy Birthday.
