My fiance used to body build and when we moved into our house together we decided to get some equipment to set up in our basement.
Why I Love It:
I can now say that I love working out. That's an accomplishment in itself. lol
How I Stay Motivated:
Honestly I put inspirational pictures up on my basement walls. Mostly pictures from the Oxygen magazine as those women are more natural. And my fiance is a HUGE help in kicking my butt when I'm tired. I also take a look at my progress pictures on here. lol
BB Accomplishments:
I lost 20lbs!!! I didn't think there was 20lbs to loose. hahaha I'm fit, healthly, happy.
Add more muscle and lean out a bit. Oh! And get my butt back. lol
Goal (Long):
Now that I've lost the weight I wanted to, my goal now is to add some more muscle and lean out a bit. (see if those crunches are really working. lol) I have no short term goals in the way of competing but that can change. lol
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
It was something really dumb too. I wasn't even at the gym. I was at work, and I lifted an air tank improperly. My knee cap twisted and the next day my whole calf was swollen. It took a long time for it to heal. I had to elevate my leg so my calf wouldn't swell etc. Remember that you can lift with your knees improperly too. lolIt was something really dumb too. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Improper form. If you don't set yourself up properly to do an exercise you can more damage then good. Also inexperience. Some people think they if they lift the heaviest weight they'll look really cool but you can damage your muscles big time.Improper form. Well the wedding and honeymoon are over, things are slowly getting back to normal. Though all I can think about are the palm trees, the ocean, and a bahama mama in my hand. hahahaha
It's time to get back into training mode. I was VERY good on my holiday and managed not to gain anything....
Girl you have a great figure, don't stress so much about how you should look on your special day. What matters at the end of the day is when you both say I do, besides you mentioned your dress already fits. Anyhow best of luck on reaching your goals.
