Rachel McLish is who really got me interested in wanting to learn about body building, but I never did anything to create that kind of physique.
I was always active and athletic, so I never worried about what I ate.
I let myself go for a while after I graduated college. Continuing to eat crap, not exercising as much as I used to, plus, being a graphic artist sitting at a computer for 9 hours a day did a great job at helping me gain 20 pounds. I got into shape off and on over the years, but was never consistent. After I had my 3 kids, I wanted my body back, and I wanted to fulfill a dream I had which was to compete in a triathlon. I trained for 6 months and I competed. So, after realizing I could accomplish something like that, I have the confidence to accomplish the other dream I've always had which is to have a lean and defined physique.
Why I Love It:
Gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Just knowing this is what I have to do to provide me with the best quality of life now and in the years to come.

12/08 I did 500 REAL pushups in 1 hour 45 minutes (next goal is to beat time).

3/3/09 500 squats 17 minutes.
3/5/09 250 pullups in 2 hours 2 minutes.
3/6/09 1/4 mile walking lunges 21 minutes.

My spelling is abysmal. Docs was not a misspelling it was a total mangling of the word. A malaprop. I didn't keep them waiting. They were finishing up at the front desk and I grabbed my coat and left. I never shower at the gym. So I didn't keep them there. :P Are you serving sour cream and applesauce and sauteed onions with the perogies?
Funny. Check it out. There were very few people when I got to the gym. Then less still. About 1/2 hour into my workout it's just me and the monster in the whole gym. Two. One set later it's just me. Cavernous NYC gym. Just me. Look at my watch: 6:10. Go to front desk. "When do you close today?" "6:00" Ooops. Just got back. Oh well...
Mine still believe as well, although Ash (the youngest) is sceptical, which is why Santa brings the big gift Christmas morning. My problem is that I go to bed b/f the kids and Taylor tends to come upstairs 2-3 times during the night to see if Santa has arrived. So I need to figure out how to get the bloody thing under the tree. :-) W
Merry Christmas Shan. Sounds like a good meal. We still open gifts Christmas Eve, just as God intended. :-) Have had the gifts under the tree since Sunday so I have been able to get the girls to do anything I want these last few days. You should have seen them with the dishes yesterday, while I had my feet up. :-) Heaven. Gym is done on to the remainder of the day. W
Tomorrow. I have all my cooking done. I am just going to the gourmet shop to get cheese and antipasto and then I'm going to try to do the 4 hour leg day I've been yammering about but have not been man enough to pull the trigger on. Shepard pie cooked yet?

I kinda wish I would hsve gone this morning, but I wasn't sure how my energy would be...it was an average workout. So, I guess it is "ok" that I stayed and did it at home. I normally would take xmas off, but with 4 days off already, I am feeling squishy!
Yes, slowly but surely. The gyn doesn't open until 3 tomm, so it looks like I won't be back there until Sat. We have dinner with my FIL tomm nite. But...we are suppose to get up to 12 inches of snow by tomm...ugh. We may be home.
