When I Started:
Mar, 2008
How I Started:
Rachel McLish is who really got me interested in wanting to learn about body building, but I never did anything to create that kind of physique.
I was always active and athletic, so I never worried about what I ate.
I let myself go for a while after I graduated college. Continuing to eat crap, not exercising as much as I used to, plus, being a graphic artist sitting at a computer for 9 hours a day did a great job at helping me gain 20 pounds. I got into shape off and on over the years, but was never consistent. After I had my 3 kids, I wanted my body back, and I wanted to fulfill a dream I had which was to compete in a triathlon. I trained for 6 months and I competed. So, after realizing I could accomplish something like that, I have the confidence to accomplish the other dream I've always had which is to have a lean and defined physique.
Why I Love It:
Gives me a sense of accomplishment.
How I Stay Motivated:
BB.com.
Just knowing this is what I have to do to provide me with the best quality of life now and in the years to come.

Why I like this video: I saw Laird Hamilton do this on Iconoclasts when he and Eddie Vedder interviewed each other. I don't think I'll try this though.

Why I like this video: It's funny as hell and actually not too far from the truth for the public in general.

Why I like this video: Watch the pushups he does at the end. I guarantee no one on BB can do them like that. This is not the breakdancing I remember from the 80's, LMAO.
mash potatoes, gravy, and roasted turkey. The stuffing and the cherry pie was store bought. :( but everything else came out excellent! not bad for guessing on everything. except turkey, I kinda knew how long it would take to cook. It was just for me n my cousin, and hes a comedian so he had to make a joke out of it. He said, 'The stuffing was the best part!' ha. ha. Doesn't pay compliments directly but I'll take what I can get from him. Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving with your fam!
LOL. Six feet under WITH lillies on top AND a memorial stone that read: Here lies Herm. Never again! But all the food turned out a 10 from one to 10 and it was all experimental and I jotted down every last ingredient and preparation to the T. So I'm cool with everything. will blog about the recipes tomorrow.
Thanks, I'll pass your message on. I can't wait until we're all settled in and back together again. It's just around the corner. I see hell week is here. I'll join you and record the results. I probably won't be online for a couple of weeks but I'll PM them when I can. Good luck!
HAHA glad you ate the cheesecake and hope it was as good as the brownie and pecan pie and pumpkin pie I ate....damn, I didn't realize I ate that much :)
Oh well ;) TTYL
I did. I flew back to spend TG with the family. My oldest son's b-day also fell on TG this year. He turned 16, time flies... I'm flying back with the dog this weekend and then I'll return to drive across with Angela and the boys in a few weeks. How was your Thanksgiving?
It was a good one. Glad you got your fill! :) We are off to the cabin until Sunday. I will catch up with you in a couple days. Have a GREAT weekend missy!
you have a nice figure - like the bio shot - really shows your bod well. would like to see some bbing/flexing shots of you in the gallery - perhaps you'll consider. in any event - best to you - jeff
I've been off-line for a couple of weeks. We closed on the house and I've been prepping the property for my family's arrival. I'll go pick them up at the end of the semester and move them then. Staying busy. Are your kids all healed up from that last bug? Did you escape it?
I just got back from whole foods. Cranky as the dickens. I'm thinking of doing a blog about: Please don't whine that you f-cking ate too much bad food this Thanksgivng on BB.com. PUL_LEEEZ? Or I'll tear my eyeballs out and hack my computer to pieces with a f-cking ax and go on a killing spree. People are going to do it ANYWAY. Just watch and see. Maybe even you, too, God forbid. And happy Thanksgiving to you too. :-)
I literally laughed out loud when I read your comment. No. Big time. They are going to pick 60 (That's kind of a lot) semi-finalist who they are going to meet, vet and interview etc. I'm still trying to maintain my fitness, obsessing about appearing confident with being cocky, my skin, hair, what I will wear, are my teeth are white enough...etc...Neurotic Jew that I am. P.S. Go for the Garlic, onion or everything bagels.
