How I Started:
Rachel McLish is who really got me interested in wanting to learn about body building, but I never did anything to create that kind of physique.
I was always active and athletic, so I never worried about what I ate.
I let myself go for a while after I graduated college. Continuing to eat crap, not exercising as much as I used to, plus, being a graphic artist sitting at a computer for 9 hours a day did a great job at helping me gain 20 pounds. I got into shape off and on over the years, but was never consistent. After I had my 3 kids, I wanted my body back, and I wanted to fulfill a dream I had which was to compete in a triathlon. I trained for 6 months and I finished one in June 2007. So, after realizing I could accomplish something like that, I have the confidence to accomplish the other dream I've always had which is to have a lean and defined physique rather than a soft looking physique.
Why I Love It:
I love the rush after I've put in a good workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband's tenacity with staying on a daily strength training schedule is a major motivator....he sets a great example. I have to visualize the body I want daily and I constantly remind myself about the feeling I have after working out. Laziness sometimes feels too good if you don't remind yourself that the endorphin fix you get after a workout feels much better!

This is what I'm starting out with. There's a bicep under there somewhere.
This by no means is meant to show progress. I just didn't have a shot of triceps for a starting point.

I've got to split up my circuit routine. I made sure to time myself this time to see how long it takes to get through at least one set. Without stopping every few exercises to check emails, Facebook, etc., it took too long! I'd never be able to get through 3 sets in the free time I'll have...

I know what mean,it's family you can't sell them;ebay rejected me when I tried,:(. Actually I got that as well,now I get "You've lost to much","You need to stop"."You are starting to look pitiful".Uhh,so I have decided to do what I want and what makes me happy,cause no one else will ever be satisified.
May visit some relatives but then I would have to listen to "why aren't you eating,aren't you hungry,don't you get tired of doing that,etc...",so I may not,lol.One thing for sure I will be working.Oh don't worry you won't get lazy,cause I am going to bug you senseless that you will curse my name every time you see a sweet,lol.
Laughs,ok.My is consisting of chicken, fish, vegetables,brown rice & frozen strawberries.This morning I had special k waffles for the high carbs,I will try to keep carbs low or none at all for the rest of the day & tomorrow.So it is going good,no popcorn chicken or ice cream bars.So what will be your temptation treat today?
My niece does me the same way when we out shopping,only allowed to speak when I am saying yes or talking to the cashier.(LOL)Btw,you got to adjust your goal,it isn't 30 anymore!!!

My kids have a funny way of making me slow down. My youngest hurt his toe last night so he can't go to daycare. I have to stay home with him until mom goes to work. I'll only mis 3 hours of work but that will take me from 15hrs to 12 and I'm sure my body will appreciate it.
Again, thank you. I still have alot of areas I need to work on tho before I begin trying to add mass. I have a very vivid picture of what I wanna look like in my head and I won't stop until I achieve it, then maybe I can be content on some level
Keep "patheticness" in there. You can use it as a daily motivator, esp for those days you have cravings & don't feel like eating clean or working out. You can remember how ornery you felt. (Be sure your 30-day goal is realistic. Make it a stretch goal, but attainable) Good luck. You can do it.
