I have been working out for the last four years with maybe 50% Motivation, 20%discipline and a diet that was totally out of place most of the time. I'm tired of that ****.. I want to transform my body because I feel like I have plateaued.

Shakaal Skipped two workouts this week. Been travelling.. Diet got squashed!! Excited about tomorrow.. Hitting the gym first thing in the morning:-)

bmergerson If you have a good spotter squats to failure are actually quite fun! Assuming a straight set means not stopping at all; which all of my sets for squats are whether they're at the beginning or end of my workout. I'm currently at 135 lbs for 8 reps for every set, from the first to the last. I have yet to do a 6 rep set because it's simply not a part of my workout. I could probably hit between 140 and 145 for 6 reps for multiple sets. If I happen to try it, I'll let you know! Why do you ask? Apr 11, 2012 12:33am

bmergerson is a dropset OR dropset to failure, my last set will be lower for the same reps as my previous sets OR lower for as many reps as it takes to reach failure-which I've never done w/squats, only on the leg press and would also never do without a spotter/someone to strip the weights off as I go. bmergerson Hi Shakaal! Do you mean in general or are you asking about going to failure? Or for the weight I, myself use? For me it depends on the stance; narrow or wide, how may reps, and whether or not I have a spotter. Apr 6, 2012 11:44pm
