How I Started:
10 years ago I used to workout all the time, 3-5 days a week. 2 1/2 years ago I blew my back out (herniated disk). Lost lots of size and gained weight (fat). Well I'm back now and determined to get my body back at the age of 45.
Why I Love It:
The way it makes me feel. And I am more motovated to other things at work and at home.
How I Stay Motivated:
This is the hardest part. It's too easy these days to say I had a bad day and join friends at happy hour. Luckily I have a few friends that just started to workout, they are keeping me motovated.

I had a back injury over two years ago and had to drop the gym. Since then I've lost size (like 2" off my chest) and gained fat weight. Now the back is better and I'm ready to get my summer body on.

Wow, I forgot how good it feels to go to the gym before work.  I had a great heavy chest & tricep workout this morning.  I feel energized and ready to start my day.

Stick through the low points. I'm feelin' kinda in a rut myself. When the motivation goes away, you have to have optimism and resiliency. Just know that you'll get on the upswing, and try not to go too far on the dark side :-D

Hang in there on the no-smoking. I've found that beating myself up for slipping up is totally unhelpful. You can do it!
