I actually started working out back in 1993 when I was a Senior at Newton-Conover High School. I started training hard with two brothers named Sid and Chuck Warren. Both of those guys were in their 40's when I was just a young lad of 17 or 18. They took me under their wing and started showing me the in's and out's of proper training ..old school style! I then trained off and on at college at Appalachian State University where I soon figured out my traps were my strongest and best feature! I could barbell shrug a little less than 700lbs! I am now trying to re-invent myself!
Why I Love It:
Because it is a great release of stress and is quite therapeutic! It also helps with the ego somewhat! Did I say that? I mean it boosts one's self-confidence and overall feeling of being a man, especially a strong one!
How I Stay Motivated:
What has gotten me motivated again is the quest to lose fat and attain the best physique I can for me!
BB Accomplishments:
I have never competed so I can't really say I have accomplishments other than I am fairly strong on shoulder shrugs!
I am going to lose the fat covering my muscles so my shredded and cut self can be seen by all!!
Goal (Long):
For most of my life I have been what many consider to be just an all-around big guy. I am tired of being overweight with a gut. I have always been strong; however, now more than ever I want to lose the fat and show the muscle that I have always wanted to. I want to have a wide back with huge traps to start it all off as well as a massive chest. I want to be the guy people see on the street and they wonder how I got so cut and massive. Within a years time I know I will master my body!
Been a while since my last post on BodyBuilding.com. I have been actively blogging on FitLink because I am still running and doing pushups as opposed weight training. I have not weight trained since 18 July 2008. For some reason I just wanted to take a break from the weights and focus...
I have taken a month off from weight training; however, I have been active running and doing pushups, etc. I started back in the gym this Sunday 1 June 2008 where I trained Back. I am not exactly sure what scheme I plan to use but the following is a probable one I will use; however, that is...
It was my pleasure to visit your bodyspace and I look forward to watching your progress. I often us this phrase to keep me going: “God didn't promise you a day without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But He did promise you strength for the day, comfort for your tears and a light for the way.
You are on your way and although I don’t know what workout program you are following, my wife (bodyspace: judimax) and I received our transformations by following Body for Life. I lost 50 lb’s and went from 36 to 10% bodyfat & she went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 in just 12 weeks with BFL’s program I believe by committing to do what needs to be done, the results will be well worth the effort.
Great Goal to have!!!! I will check back on your progress. I am just starting myself but I also massively motivated to show my muscles hidden beneath. Best of Luck!!!
