I began working out my Junior year of high school between sports. When i graduated high school i weighed 155 and could barely bench 200. I bought a Bowflex and it did wonders. Shortly after I became employed at the local YMCA as a lifeguard/youth sports coordinator. After work I would hit the gym. I had college classes in the mean time. In 2003, I went to basic training and i wasn't able to touch a weight for 6 months. In may 2006 i came to Iraq weighing approx. 190, and I was hoping to hit 210 before we leave.
Why I Love It:
In high school i was in the middle crowd that wasn't super popular, but not disliked either, if you know what i mean. My self-esteem had always been low. I was always trying to fit in. Working out fills that void. Gives me something over the others. People say "you've gotten bigger!" I can reply with "i love it."
How I Stay Motivated:
My fellow soldiers and i work out everyday. One soldier is barely stronger than me!! I fight to catch up to him. and my gains here have been outstanding!
BB Accomplishments:
I now bench about 330.
Last time i checked i was 200 lbs with less than 10% body fat, at 5'8".
I have had many setbacks, especially with the military, but i keep on truckin anyway.

I want to weigh 210, and be cut, even though i'm only 5'8"
Goal (Long):
Right now i flucuated between 197 and 202, I want to hit a sturdy 210, with a six pack to match. I want to be able to bench 400, which is still about 70 lbs away.
I work hard in the weight room, when i leave i hurt, but the good kind of hurt. I feel like i have accomplished something. Bodyspace.com has motivated me immensly to continue what i work hard at. People on the outside on the other hand try to beat you down. They don't see what i do in the gym,...
being overseas right now my time is limited, so 45 minutes to an hour in the gym is the best I can do on a day to day basis. My program rotates every 5 days.
1) Chest- flat bench w/ 1 warm up set w/ 135.
set 1) 10 reps 225
2) 275 to failure
...
Im back on here!!! I really wanted to post a pic of my two year mark... Damn bro can you believe it!!!... Anyway I want thank you for everything that you tought me about weight lifting. No bs bro you are one of the main reasons I am where I am today when it comes to bodybuilding.
Just wanted to see how things were going over there. The lifting is always an amazing way to take your mind off of things and occupy the down time. Take care of yourself and your soldiers.
Thanks for the bicep compliment!
I understand training must be very difficult and require innovation while deployed in Iraq. Any training you can do will help, and it looks like you have a good partner. Uncle Sam is probably not giving you a bodybuilder's diet (rumors here center around chicken nuggets and fries), so I think that adding mass now is probably your best bet. Cutting it all up should be easier when you return and have more control. Stay strong and stay safe!
You have made tremendous progress and I salute you. You may have the thickest neck proportionally on the site.
Thank you for serving and keep yourself safe. Keep up the good work.
You've built a great base of mass and strength to work with. Your recent pic shows impressive arm and upper body mass. This is all the more impressive considering that your workout conditions while deployed are likely less than ideal. Keep up the great work and come home safe. Thank you for your service to our country!
SGT E aka easy E. I wanted to be the first to welcome you. I like your profile way to tell your story bro. Put some more pics up show what you got!! Tomorrow is back day see you at the ummm TENT...
