My husband got me into it. I had always wanted to lose weight so it was easy to talk me into it.
Why I Love It:
It really makes me feel good. It helps raise my confidence, puts me in a good mood, it gives me something to look forward to in the future. Not to mention the nice workout high you get after your weight training/cardio.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've gone into this realistically. I don't expect to transform my body quickly. I understand it's going to take a while. I also don't kick my ass. I go at my own pace. I just go with the flow basically. This all really helps keep me from getting let down and losing motivation. I also keep myself motivated by thinking about how much healthier I am going to be and how much better I am going to feel in my own skin.

I have always been a bit on the heavy side. My long term goal is to lose as much weight and tone as much muscle as necessary to make myself comfortable in my own skin. I'm not doing this for anyone but myself. My long term goal weight is 130 lbs.
Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
I feel great. I have a lot more energy. I'm in a better mood. And the best thing is I've pretty much stopped having headaches.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I'm definitely a lot happier since I started working out. It really seems to take a lot of my stress away which keeps me from taking anything out on those close to me.

Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
If I notice I need to up my weights I write the new weights down and put them on the workout tracker on this site.
I'm incredibly happy with my results even though they have been slow. I keep seeing that number going down and it's thrilling. I don't have much muscle but as I lose the weight they are becoming more and more visible lol My calves and biceps are especially impressive to me right now haha! I...

I finished my Masters a couple months ago and have been hitting it 2 to 3 times weekly and watching what I eat closely and have only lost 2 LBs but I have rearrangeds the inchs quite a bit. Dont let the scale be your only gage! Hang in there!!! In the end it will be worth it!
Stopping by to say Hello, can't wait to see you next week and Santa stuck a couple of little surprises under the tree for you :). I still haven't found a healthy dessert lol, but I'm still working on that.

It is a pleasure to offer my support. We can all use a positive comment every now and then and you have definitely earned it. Fitness is like a marathon run rather than a short sprint, but one of the great things about it is that after a short while the benefits start showing themselves and provide extra motivation, to keep you pushing forward. Keep believing and achieving.
I dropped by to say, way to go! You are on your way and I believe that with your continued determination you will achieve all of your fitness goals. I look forward to watching your progress and would like nothing better than to see you achieve all of your fitness dreams. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless.
I've been great and I feel a lot better. Just getting back on track. I'm glad to know that you're doing good and progressing right along! Keep up the good work...
You are doing so amazing!!! Keep it up!!! It will all be so worth it! No matter how rediculous Chaddy thinks it is...lol It's how you feel about you that matters.
