How I Started:
My husband got me into it. I had always wanted to lose weight so it was easy to talk me into it.
Why I Love It:
It really makes me feel good. It helps raise my confidence, puts me in a good mood, it gives me something to look forward to in the future. Not to mention the nice workout high you get after your weight training/cardio.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've gone into this realistically. I don't expect to transform my body quickly. I understand it's going to take a while. I also don't kick my ass. I go at my own pace. I just go with the flow basically. This all really helps keep me from getting let down and losing motivation. I also keep myself motivated by thinking about how much healthier I am going to be and how much better I am going to feel in my own skin.

Face from the side 1month bicep difference
I notice several things. A slight increase in definition in my bicep, less droopage underneath, and a better shaped shoulder and chest area.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
I feel great. I have a lot more energy. I'm in a better mood. And the best thing is I've pretty much stopped having headaches.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I'm definitely a lot happier since I started working out. It really seems to take a lot of my stress away which keeps me from taking anything out on those close to me.

Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
If I notice I need to up my weights I write the new weights down and put them on the workout tracker on this site.

I'm very proud of myself right now. I know it's only been a few days but I can't believe how well I am doing. Not even a slip up in the food intake. I've also been very active. If I can keep this up for three months straight...woooooooweeeeeeeeee I could lose a ton of weight!...

hey gurl! thanks for the blog comment! usually when I just start back up with cardio I get that feeling in my feet too. lol I hate it. I wiggle my toes around and it usually goes away after a few minutes. How have you been? I have well BEEN! working alot of overtime because I need the money and stuff and trying to find another job and get back to eating right and stuff! its exhausting! lol well hope you have a lovely memorial day!

ya know I love tuna and thats the one thing I havent eaten in a while. because I love tuna salad. my mom makes a killer tuna salad and a chicken salad so crunchy with pecans and pineaplle OMG everyone at RAVES over that! I plan on buying more beef. I was actually going to try and follow the atkins diet which is what my mom and dad are on now but like any other diet you have to be able to follow and stay with it.
