I first got started weight training when I was a kid. I had been injured and could not participate in regular "PT" classes. So they put me in this new curriculum called weight lifting. I really was good at it and became very strong.
Why I Love It:
I like the challenge and it works well for me. Also the bodybuilding business is a big part of my professional photography business. I travel the country photographing major bodybuilding competitions, I shoot the advertising and features you see in the magazines and for BodyBuilding.com.
How I Stay Motivated:
Lifting is very fun for me and a good mental release. In the last couple of years I have been traveling so very much and working so very had that it has been difficult to be consistent. In the last 60 days I have gone back to lifting heavy and in the gym daily so we will see what happens.
BB Accomplishments:
Earning the respect of a lot of the younger guys at my gym and hearing things like I hope I can be like you when I get to be your age. Seriously. I don't give up, I worked my way up to 405 lb bench, squats, back rows and deadlifts. And 100 lb dumbell curls. I had put on some good size and was pretty trim with a 32 waist.

Wanna See More....? Well you can, there is a lot on my BodyBlog so be sure to take a look at it and scroll through! Thanks!
Goal (Long):
I am up around 225 and looking to trim back down at least 35 pounds. But more than that I really am working to get back to being more consistent in getting to the gym and working out. I am changing around some of my work schedule and plans just to make sure that happens.

Why I like this video: Jean-Pierre Fux has faded from the scene but was truly one of the amazing figures in the sport. The guy was huge and rivaled Ronnie and everyone else at the time. Sadly a very serious injury doing very heavy squats during a photo shoot took him out of competition. I know JP and it is sad to say that he still walks with a limp. But he retains a lot of size and is very impressive. He works as a trainer and is still very involved in the sport. Just click on the image to watch it.
Jean Pierre Fux

Why I like this video: There seems to be a lot of interest in Jean-Pierre Fux recently. So I thought I would post this additional video. It is a look at a workout when he was very huge and off season. And remember that he is only maybe 5ft 11, myabe 6' tall.
Kimm Winn, 2006 Champion Bodybuilder

Why I like this video: This is my buddy Kimm Winn. Kimm came into the gym with her husband 2 or 3 years back. He pretty much wanted to lose weight and she was just an out of shape housewife. Coaxing another rep out of her was not easy. But within a few weeks of her working out with myself and my workout partner, Larry Brown who is a trainer, we knew she had the drive and the genetics to be special. And special she is. Kimm has come out on top in her 3 shows and has taken the overall in the 2006 "L.A." She is now qualified to do the USA; wow. This video was just a posing demo at Muscle Beach Venice, I don't know who shot it. But Kimm posing at a real show brings the crowd to their feet, she is just that great! Yesterday I was lucky enough to photograph the man who started it all, Joe Weider. Just as enthusiastic as you might want to experience, Joe Weider recounted his early days seeing Muscle Beach, bringing Arnold to the United States and so very much more. His excitement to this day about...
