First off I just want to say I am going to do my best to tell my whole story!!Here we go!!
I got tired of my bodyfat/weakness not seeing my abs, or any bicep development when I was in highschool. Also I was bullied a bit, so a little ego was part of my beginning motivation also (now I just do it all because I love it). I try to keep the ego to a low because I do not like ego in my heart. I am not jealous of even the pro bodybuilders. In fact I wish some of them had less ego and more of God,(not saying I have never been jealous), but I do my best to love myself fully.
Anyways, I began to workout in the gym when I asked my friend Ian to show me a couple things. I was then hooked and began to teach myself by reading all over the net. I copied my first diet randomly off a bodybuilding website (4-5000 calorie diet). It was all layed out with each meal etc., so I just copied it. I told my Mom I wanted her to help me with my new idea of the strict diet. My mother and father both were more then supportive. They made meals for me and bought me protein, even when they had money problems. God had clearly blessed me fully.
I wanted to know everything so I kept reading and taught myself all I know. I found my passion to bodybuild this way. I also began to eat healthy because I realized junk food after workouts was not enough to maintain the performance in my workouts. Healthy food helped me to maintain my energy levels throughout the week.
I found this out because in the beginning I worked out and was okay for a week with after workout meals of rice crispy squares etc., but I went from doing 100 sit ups to barely 20 eating this way. This is when I learned I needed proper nutrition to maintain my performance.
I also wanted to feel better, not just physically, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I am not that smart in terms of math and problem solving. However I have learned all I know from simple eating and lifting weights.
After all, it's the action that gets me to know the most. Words are not much without experience. I am proud of how far I have come with pure experience. I would like to finish here by thanking my good friend Ian Luce especially, the rest of my friends, God, my whole family and all of my fans. Enjoy my bodyspace and keep up the good work everyone!!!.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because it is a challenge for every muscle of the body. It is not about fighting or trying to be better then everyone else. To me it is personal exploration.
It is my art form for I never know what results will happen. Our bodies are a mystery and as we grow we see new definition and muscles we never knew possible.
It is a great way to explore our own genetics. We can see that even without good genetics, we can climb mountains with hard training and diet and of course, God watching over us.
Last but not least, Bruce Lee was also a motivation for me. He was into fitness, and lifting weights. I admired his efforts, (not so much fighting itself but the art of fighting was great to me). I realized the human body is amazing.
I used my punching bag a lot and went for long runs down the country road. It was just a matter of time before I found the weight room and got hooked! Martial Arts is something I would like to persue when I get the time of day! There is only so much time in the day and right now I'm filled.
Also Mortal Combat and Comic Books with great physiques, gave me inspiration. Lastly, bodybuilding is an art to me. I do it to admire my human body which is a miracle to me.
I do not like to fight people or act like a bully. I love people and wish we can all be the brothers and sisters that we are and get along. God knows I am sorry for all the bad things I have done in my life. I also opologize to the world.
Amen to that also!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I believe in Jesus Christ as saviour and I use to do a lot of drugs. I feel working out is my anti-drug for I enjoy it more then I enjoy the use of drugs. It keeps me healthy and it is the opposite of my old lifestle of drugs and non-productivity.
I know bodybuilding is productive for body mind and spirit. It is about striving for perfection, which is the opposite of drug abuse. I also think steroids make bodybuilding pointless. I always pray to God and workout for spiritual reasons and I tough through the battle the natural way! When I look in the mirror, I know I am a child of God in my heart, and to take care of my body pleases the lord in heaven. The muscle is just a great bonus! I know God loves me either way.
Bodybuilding is just some toys he gave me to play with while I am here. It is not my only purpose. God alone is my purpose for life. I was made to love him. Amen!
BB Accomplishments:
I have went from 150 pounds of mostly fat to 195 pounds of solid muscle. I am now ripped and healthy from all the hard dieting with healthy foods.
I have been complimented, known for a great life turn around from my past life and I feel better about everything.
Most of all I thank Jesus Christ for watching over me so that I could be alive to do all of this greatness!!
Amen. I hope you all enjoyed my info!
God Bless you all!

Hi, my favorite shoulder routine is: barbell-front-press (a 9 sets pyramide: 12,10,8,6,4,6,8,10,12 reps, the 5th set is the heaviest), barbell-front-shrugs (a 9 sets pyramide too) and 3 "burn"-sets of dumbbell-side-lateral-raise (50 reps each). For me it works fantastic, because there are only basic-exercises...
Just keep resting your shoulder - sounds like it's painful - you'll get back to regular lifting at some point, just don't push it too soon. I'll stop by your site to see how you're doing! Take care.
I'm glad that you came through the problems from a few months ago alright. But, I'm sorry to hear about the injury. I hope you'll be able to get back to lifting soon. How's everything else going for you? It's good to hear from you again!
hey thanks man for adding me as ur friend and its my pleasure having you as one of my familias here at bb.com.. good luck always bodybuilder buddy and i hope we can help achieve our goals better if we help one another even though just only our good ideas and experiences.. man u got a nice article in your bodyspace.. maybe one of this days you can also write your articles at bb.com regarding your wonderful ideas about bodybuilding in relation of having faith in God.. Godbless brother..
Sorry to hear that you've got so many problems right now. I couldn't say what will happen on the court date - but if no one was hurt and it's a first offense I can't imagine that you'd go to jail (community service or something else though). I don't want to sound preachy, and you've probably heard enough from others, but sometimes showing restraint and patience is the greatest strength. Good luck next week and let me know how it goes.
Hey Sean - you should just have to select the photo, then under the picture look for the "additional information" heading. Just below that select "edit photo." Once the next screen opens there is a box to check to delete the picture. I just tried it by removing one of my pictures and it worked okay. BTW, how's your training going?
Well, "shameful" was a bit harsh, but I understand where you are coming from. My line about "tired of trying to be ripped" is actually meant to be funny, of course one of my main goals is to cut down on the bodyfat - which when I last had it tested about a month ago was at 18%. I'll have to get some updated pictures, maybe even in better lighting which as you know can dramatically effect how a photo looks, to show my progress since this summer.
Ouch - I was lucky, my mouth seems to have enough room for my wisdom teeth because I had other teeth pulled when I wore braces as a kid. I saw your new pictures by the way - looking big, thick and strong as always!
