When I Started:
How I Started:
Quit smoking several years ago and started jogging. Kept after it and started to incorporate weight training. Not going to llok like the bodybuilders on this page. That is not my intention. Looking and feeling good are and that is what I strive for.
Why I Love It:
I love being and staying in shape, and being able to keep up physically with people younger than me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Getting compliments about my appearance from people around me and how working out makes me feel.
Just finishing up a real good chest and triceps workout and feel awesome! Got the sweat going, music up loud and ready to attack the day. Just think, I was going to skip working out today since my aging body has been barking at me the last few days. Am so glad I didn't!
I love to run. Have run several long distance runs including a marathon. 3-4 times a week I run at at least a 9 minute mile pace for 5 miles or more. I mix in sprint work as well. As for weight training I have found this routine works very well for my body and fits my schedule.
Well, thats good. Don't you ever give up! Yeah, my goals are pretty up there, i'm an ambitious person, even though money is tight right now, i'm going to keep my dreams alive as they will be fulfilled someday.
