How I Started:
I had started working out at my military high school, but never kept up with it on a regular basis after HS. I would go inspurts of working out for a few months here and there...just enough to keep looking good.
Now, at the age of 40 and after many years of being sedintary and gaining weight, I decided enough was enough and lost 65lbs with the help of Weight Watchers. I started working out again at home in Aug. 2006 and joined a gym in mid-Sept. 2006. I look forward into transforming my body into the best shape it has ever been in...and keep it that way.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling I get from exercise.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look at pictures of myself at my heaviest weight.

Transform my body as part of Michael Elias' Team Torture.
Goal (Long):
Since turning 40 I decided I want to be in the best shape I can be in by the time I turn 41. But I will continue on from there to keep refining my body into the best shape of my life...and stay there. I have overcome many vices in my life, with the hardest one being alcohol. Now I have been sober four years, lost a lot of weight and it is time to be the best I can be. I would like to reduce my weight to 190lbs, get to 10% bodyfat, and increase my muscle mass. I will see my abs (finally). With dedication, I believe I can accomplish this in 18 months.
Another goal, which will coincide with my body goals, is to learn as much as possible about proper nutrition. While I know the basics, I have a long way to go to learn how to eat "clean" and healthy meals.
One more goal during this time would be to becaome a Certified Fitness Trainer. I would like to be able to help others to achieve their excercise goals.
