I started working out my freshman year of high school. In the past I've been a fair-weather-lifter and I've never stuck to a comprehensive exercise and diet program for more then a few weeks.
My body composition has yo-yo'd drastically; since I've begun. I've been all over the scale. I started at 240 (14y/o), have been as low as 212, and high as 283.5 disgusting pounds @ 29% body fat.
I guess I rediscovered my desire to get back in shape when I got on the scale and saw a weight that’s heavier than I’ve ever been. I looked around and realized none of my clothes fit and my military uniform was bursting at the seems.
In July 2006 I volunteered for a mission with the National Guard on the US Mexico border. Not to long before I moved for the mission I made some horrible decisions that ended many of my personal relationships. Since I've left my friends and family back home, I’ve suffered some tragic events and been wrestling with overeating and depression.
I hit my lifetime high of 283.5lbs in July of 2007. Since then I've tackled some personal demons, built a body I can be proud of, kicked ass on the Air Force Fitness Test which allowed me to re-elist for six years rather than get discharged for being out of shape and rediscovered things I forgot about myself a long time ago.
Why I Love It:
The more I experience my 'coming of age' the more I realize, and am fascinated by the way that the body and the mind affect each other.
I believe it is possible to heal the soul by reconstructing the body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading great works & watching Hercules, Hercules Unchained & World Strongest Man competitions.
BB Accomplishments:
2007- Lost 65lbs in 16 weeks. I've earned a body I can be proud of and is a good starting point for future fitness goals.

Sometimes I get a ahead of myself, sometimes I get so pumped thinking about my goals of moving Herculean poundage I think about scrapping my entire weight loss/fat loss goals and jumping right back on a 5,000 calorie a day growth binge.
For me sticking to a weight loss program is a daily...

Hey Sir! Now in college! After i cut all the weight (looking shredded, but weak like a mouse) with all your advice, I tried to maintain my weight and lifting routine. With the summer here i lost my motivation and took a break for 4 weeks, bad mistake.
Hey big Ron, hows it goin? You moved out to cali yet? by the way, if you ever visit your aunt in Omaha, I found a pretty small but hardcore gym in town. Dude who owns it has a small supp store in front and a weight room in back. He's 50, but still jacked as hell
Dude, I just say some of your vids on Youtube. Amazing stuff. How much cardio were you doing to lose 65lbs in 16 weeks?
