How I Started:
I used to be very active as a teen. Working as a nurse and going to school full time has taken its toll. I use to be a size 6-8 and around 125-135lbs. With 12 hour work days, horrible eatting habits, and a decline in my attendence at the gym, I've gained some 50lbs over the past few years!!!I decided to finally return to the healthy lifestyle I used to have after seeing patient after patient come across my ward with diabetes, CHF, obesity, depression, asthma and other preventable ailments. I refuse to have that kind of future!
Why I Love It:
The way it feels mentally and physically and of course...the results!
How I Stay Motivated:
Old pictures, people who I admire, goals I've set for myself and my fiance who looks wonderful!

Started back with my tried and true that helped me drop weight when I first left the military. Starting weight was 180lbs, end weight after 6months was 148lbs:
Cardio: 4-6x's/wk usually on my elliptical or a fast paced walk around the local park for 30-45 mins.

Interval training may help with your weigth loss. Ask a trainer at Gold's and I'm sure they will guide you to a degree (anything more and you will probably have to pay them). I lost 50 lbs and just kept at focusing mainly on cardio workouts. It is possible just set a goal reach it and set another and the next thing you know wa la you are where you want to be.
Without having much of your info I believe it is best to follow a proven program when deciding to either lose weight and/or get into great shape otherwise you may end up wasting your time & energy. I was able to lose over 50 lb’s going from 36% to 10% bodyfat and my wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 in only 12 weeks by following the Body for Life program. Challenge yourself and you may be amazed at the results and how fast they happen.
