My roommate and best friend has a membership to this gym, she was allowed to take one guest with her whenever she wanted, she took me. I'm very fond on cardio...and the weights aren't to bad!
Why I Love It:
To be honest, it relieves my stress, keeps me from wanting to smoke and I enjoy feeling the tension in my muscles!
How I Stay Motivated:
It's been an on and off thing for me, but again, I'm just sick of looking at what I've turned into everyday. Looking at all of the beautiful people on here...I want that.
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost 30+ lbs in the past year, between changing my diet, dropping fast food & beer and walking constantly...I can run again! It's been years since I could run...putting the weight on so fast 2 years ago really took a toll on my ankles...working out pays off!! =)
My goal is to lower my weight to 135 lbs by August, 2009, transform my flab back into muscle.
Goal (Long):
When I was 17, 18, 19 and even 20, I had a pretty great body. I wasn't in great shape, but I kept active. I got out of a very long and stressful relationship at 20 years of age, I began drinking, eating unhealthy, basically not caring about myself anymore. I had it implanted in my brain that I had lost my one and only, so I was no longer of any use to the world. Up until a year ago, I was stuck in this very sad place, then I realized the love of my life had been staring me in the face almost the whole time. Being supportive of me. My weight went from 110 at 5'2, to 180 within a year. Since I have been with him, my esteem has shot up, my life has done a 180 and I've lost 30+ lbs, but I am still pretty rough around the edges. I'm eating MUCH healthier, probably better now than I ever have, however I'm nothing but flab now. I will not settle at weighing 150 lbs at 5'2, age 23. I want to be able to run again without it hurting my ankles. I will run again. I want to be able to put on a bikini and feel good about it.
