Background

When I Started: Apr 2007
HOW I STARTED:

I started teaching aerobics while in college for extra $$$. Lifted weights inconsistently since high school. Been interested in competing for a couple of years now...and finally just decided to go for it last April!

WHY I LOVE IT:

Nothing can turn a bad day around like a great workout. It's my anti-depressant! :)

I am in the process of looking for sponsership.  So far I have found some examples of "fundraising"letters on a websearch...blah blah blah boring stuff. Why can't i find anything out there on finding athletic sponsers without having to pay for a website to get them? My friend Rockstar-[Troy at WOW back home in Connecticut says i should have a portfolio ready to pass out at the Arnold... soooo what to put in a portfolio? I figured a cover letter requesting sponsership, photos and a resume? But how do i present that? I can't carry around a bunch of binders right? Anyone...

OKay so now i am full into the diet and feeling really tired this morning! I am doing the opposite of what most girls are probably doing now... I have slashed my protein and cranked up my cardio and running to burn off some of the muscle density in my legs. I am anxiously waiting for word on my new one piece suit... and stressing about the star-status of some of my potential competitors. I've got my presentation down and i'm perfecting myquarter turns... only 4 weeks to go and i am fired-up!

^ weeks from tonight i will probably be sitting in a pre-show meeting, or maybe putting on my fake eyelashes... I will be about 15 shades darker than my natural skin tone and i will be emanating a strange tanning product odor. My stomach will be very empty, and my throat will be calling out for some water, but i won't care because there are more important things to worry about now. How does my suit look?  Is my color good? How do i compare to all these other girls? Will i trip onstage (like last time) ? Did i pick the right hairstyle? Is my face too shiny? Are my shoulders big enough? Are...
