I started working out after watching some of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. I was 15 years old and I was impressed with the physique of most of the competitors especially the guys on the rings and the 100m sprinters.
Why I Love It:
The high I get from it. I love the feeling of the blood flowing through my veins. I really enjoy lifting weights. It totally elevates my mood.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just look in the mirror. I feel and look better after a workout. It really helps me feel good and puts me in a good mood for the day!

hey man sorry i was wrong about the powerlifting at the uofa. theres a room in the hallway going to the main gym. its a really good set up. noone was in there and all the weights were locked up when i went in today. im gonna go saturday at 11-2:30. thats when the next practice is(i checked the board). and they have a website too. ualbertapowrlifting.com if ya wanna check er out.
yeah its a really good spot, lots of weights. i havent really power lifted for a little bit, im just getting back into it. i dont know anyone there either just kinda go and do my own thing. im gonna start training heavy in the next couple weeks. the strongest lifts i seen there were only on the bench, with lifting shirts on. noone over 4 plates.
