For years I have been weight obsessed, trying new diets, and workout regimes, mostly cardio. My weight has been a rollercoaster going up and down and always transforming into something that was NEVER good enough. I have wanted to get into Figure competing since I found out about it 3 years ago, however I could never dedicate myself to the sport nor did I have the financing to do it, since it does get costly. Finally this year I made it my number 1 priority. In March I got my dietitian, Todd Ganci and have been working with him ever since, and my body is FINALLY evolving into one I am proud of, I can't wait to see my end result in October for my first competition and go on from there :)
Why I Love It:
I Love lifting weights! especially for my upper body. I dread leg day and cardio, as it is extremely exhausting, but I know its what I have to do.
How I Stay Motivated:
My Dietitian keeps me on track! I have to send him weekly updates on my pictures so he can alter my diet/workout to better suit my changes. Over the years I have said "im going to compete this year, I'll be on stage this year i promise" and I let myself down as well as a few of my motivators. This year, they can't believe I am actually sticking to it. I told a lot more people this year that I am going to compete and i WILL NOT let them or myself down and back out. Not to mention, lose out on all the money I have put towards competing! (ie.. the suits, dietitian, gym memberships, food, and supplements, and joining the INBF!!)
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost a significant amount of bodyfat and gained muscle I never thought i could, and i still have 4 months until my first show to lose more fat and gain more muscle! I have not competed yet but my shows are as follows::
Oct 27- Natural New York State Body Building and Figure Championships (Pro Qualifier) Poughkeepsie High School- Poughkeepsie, NY
Nov 3- Monster Mash- Marlborough, MA.
Nov 10- Amateur World body building and figure championships (pro qualifier)- New York, NY
