"Surpassed my weight goal - put on 14 lbs. of lean mass! Two more weeks of gaining, then it's time to CUT for two photo shoots and a possible competition this summer."
After finishing a competitive dance career, I became out of shape (compared to what I was used to, anyway.) I learned that I had to start doing the traditional gym workouts in order to regain and maintain the physique I had as a competitive dancer. As it turns out, I now have a better physique than I ever had by dancing only.
Why I Love It:
I adore feeling strong. I also weight train in order not to appear too skinny, since I have a naturally lean, dancer's physique.
How I Stay Motivated:
By knowing how hard it was to get into the shape I'm in now! The idea of getting soft and having to start all over again is no fun!
BB Accomplishments:
I am now back to my competitive dancing size (smaller, actually), but I weigh more and have much more muscle. I fill out my clothes better with the muscle tone I have gained and I have developed muscles where I have never had them in my life -- and I intend to keep them! With improvements, of course.
