I've been working out off and on since 2000, but in Dec. 2007 - when I turned 40 - I finally decided to make a change once and for all. I got tired of making excuses.
Why I Love It:
I like that I'm inspiring others around me, while I'm continually being inspired by others as well. The biggest plus is that I'm a lot healthier this year than last year, and taking better care of yourself is it's own reward.
How I Stay Motivated:
I continue to picture myself how I want to look and I won't stop until that picture is reality. I also come to BB.com daily to look for any new and helpful information, like Kris Gethin's "12-Week Video Trainer".
BB Accomplishments:
Lost 30 pounds and counting!!! My goal is to get to 209.
You, and others like yourself, give a whole new term to the word "Baby Boomer". Thanks for doing what you do; I know there's a chance for me to get big, too.
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
30 seconds - 1 minute. I'm trying to keep myself at a certain pace, and also to keep my heart rate up. Main reason - I don't like being in the gym long.

How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
My sets vary. I normally do 12, 10, 8, 6, 12, 12 (the last two are supersets). It's mainly because of the programing I'm follwing.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Shoulder strain. Injury didn't last long, so I just backed off using heavy weight or by-passed shoulder exercises altogether until I felt 100%.
I just stopped by to wish you success as you work towards your fitness goal. An exercise and proper nutrition program helped both myself and my wife (bodyspace: judimax) lose a lot of weight and feel better than we ever have. If there is ever anything that I can do to be of assistance please feel free to give me a yell. I would like nothing better than to see you achieve all you dream of on your fitness journey.
Believe & Achieve!
