Overall Goal: I hope to enter my first competition this year. I started off at 190lbs & now weigh 137lbs. I really would like to get into fitness modelling.

Fit Status:
I feel it in my bones....like the coming of a storm...
Honestly - I started going to the gym to see this guy that I thought was really cute...he practically lived at the gym. Eventually the guy phased out of the picture and fitness became an avid interest, especially when I started seeing changes in my body (weight loss, toning, increased capacity for cardio, etc). I was inspired by fitness personalities such as Monica Brant, Valerie Waguman, Gina Aliotti and others...I loved the strong lean, cut curvatures and I wanted the same for myself. It's amazing when you can sculpt your body in almost any way you like!! ( I wanna round out my delts....or I am gonna work on an apple bum....or I think I need a V-taper..)
Why I Love It:
I love to sweat, I love the pump, I love the rush...The gym is the place I go when I need to get away from it all and release frustration - and I always leaving feeling 10 times better than I did before. I love seeing my body transform...I absolutely love testing my limits...I get excited about setting and surpassing goals I set out for myself...Where I come from (Trinidad) and where I live currently (St.Catharines/ Mississauga, Canada), there aren't many women who are into the bodybuilding scenario. There's a certain feeling of pride I get walking into a weight room dominated by bulky males...and not feeling one ounce of intimidation. Because of my training - my confidence level has sky rocketed....
***definition of Vain: having or showing undue or excessive pride in one's appearance or achievements...
Taking this into consideration, I suppose I can be called vain...but I worked hard to get where I am today, and I am proud of my achievements...regardless of other people's opinions of whether or not it might be excessively so...
How I Stay Motivated:
Well...it's not about motivation anymore - its an absolute obsesion. If I miss a day of training (not including off days) - I feel frustrated, guilthy, miserable and lethargic...Training is certainly a way of life and living.
BB Accomplishments:
Dropping from 190lbs to 140lbs.
Significantly increasing my muscle mass.

Goal (Long):
My long term goal is obviously to keep fit and healthy. I'd like to get my weight down to 130lbs and round out my glutes...also I need to work on my endurance so that one day I can take the initiative and run a 25k marathon. Considering that when I started off - I couldn't run 5 minutes on the treadmill at 5.2 without becoming quite breathless, and now being able to run over half an hour on a 2% incline at 7.8, I think I've come a very long way. My rolemodels are strong, powerful, assertive, independant, intelligent women - therefore to complement my strength of mind, I'd like my body to reflect that as well.
He consistantly awes judges and audience alike with his sharp, well defined physique, on point posing and routines which are not only creative but reflect the passion for what he does. Always placing top 3 if not 1. What inspires me most is the man behind the muscle: a beautiful mind that is insightful; a heart that is passionate and burns for success in every aspect in his life. He motivated me to stop holding myself back from achieving my all and appreciate my own successes. ILIMM...

This is my reply to the topic of Women and Weight Training, on my friend, Renaldo Gairy's "Way2Fit" Facebook Group:
So the first topic is women and weight training, and I know its something that there is a lot of disagreement about. Even though this topic is aimed at women, I'd like to...
Yeah it was a good time, this was only the second show I have been to where I have not been in the ring/cage fighting or working the corner, crazy. I thought the main event was ok but I really liked the Dan Hardy/Marcus Davis fight just not the decision
nope not trini directly but my family is... so i guess im trini-canadian... are you from there? Nice pics too.. hmmm and I dont see how you cant be a fitness model.. unless your status was from a while ago.. cause your beautiful and you have an excellent body.. keep up the great work!
wow yet again people on this webste just seem to make me want to shot for goals i never even thought about. You have done a great deal of work. Looking good.
I agree with the previous post about She-Hulk on a different level. Now that Marvel is in full swing with putting out many of their comics on film I think several ladies here are the new mutants. Call Stan Lee and get the moolla ladies!
