I started dancing when I was three. It's been a huge part of my life. I'm currently a dance minor in college and choreograph for different musicals and groups on a regular basis. I started working out as a senior in high school when I realized that even though I was spending ten or so hours a week in the studio/at the barre, I'd hit a wall and had stopped improving. So, I began lifting weights and doing cardio in order to improve my stamina and strength. It definately helped me progress as a dancer, and my confidence grew immensley as well. I became much more comfortable wearing that leotard and tights, for sure! Since then, health and fitness have remained a huge part of my lifestyle.
Why I Love It:
I am extremely goal-oriented. I love being able to really see my progress when I can lift more or run faster. Working out is a huge stress-reliever as well. Since I'm currently working a full-time job and studying for my LSATs all while making time for family, friends, and my boyfriend, that's crucial!
How I Stay Motivated:
I remind myself of all the progress I've made so far, and it excites me to know that that progress will only continue if I work at it!

I've been working out regularly for the past couple months but not as consistently as I'd like to be. While I'm definitely feeling better about myself than I used to, I think I still need some work, particularly around my thighs and stomache.
Improve my race times and look HOT by losing body fat and gaining muscle!
Goal (Long):
Right now, I view my ideal weight as 115 lbs (at 5'3"). I want to gain some muscle but mainly lose body fat. I plan on accomplishing this goal by cutting down on greasy foods, sweets, and alcohol, and by regularly exercising six times a week.
This week was good and bad... The good news is that I stuck to my workouts every day and ran my best 5K time yet on Saturday! 24:48! My 5K goal was 25 minutes but since I hadn't been running much lately I wasn't sure if I was going to make it, especially since it was about 20 degrees out! ...

Hello, Glad you had a good weekend. Good luck with school. So, what is this diet from hell you started? I am doing good. I started working out at the gym longer, and hardier last week with a new plan. This week I started doing cardio outside instead of on the treadmill.
