Overall Goal: I've always been overweight. My desire is to get down to a healthy weight of around 195 lbs, get some nice tone and definition, and get down to around 12% body fat.
Fit Status:
Done with 49 days of Power 90. Over halfway done and feeling great. Broke through my "glass ceiling" of 280 lbs finally! Over 30 lbs lost
I've just started out with the Power 90 program by Beachbody. Once these 90 days are done I am planning to move on to P90X.
Why I Love It:
My weight/health has always been an issue in my life and for a long time I just resigned myself to the fact I would be fat the rest of my life. I changed my attitude and now my greatest challenge/goal in life is to get fit and healthy!
How I Stay Motivated:
I've set a number of short term and longer term goals for myself. I've joined a number of websites for accountability and posted my somewhat embarrassing body shots on a few websites. If changing the way I look to show others what can be done isn't motivation enough I don't know what is!
This was when I started the Atkins Diet on February 24. I weighed 308.8 lbs. I'm not honestly sure of my measurements because I was too ashamed to take them.

Goal (Long):
I've been overweight pretty much all my life. I was wearing a 40 waist by the time I was in 8th grade. My highest weight was somewhere around 320 lbs in the year 2008. I started my weight loss this year at the end of February. My goal is to be around 195 lbs with about 12.5% body fat. I want those washboard abs that I always assumed I could never have, but now believe that I can have with work and dedication.
Based on everything I've learned thus far whey isolates are the best and most pure form of protein for the body. I honestly don't know much about it, but I do know that being a man I will NEVER use soy protein as soy has a drastic negative effect on the male body. (Soy causes the body to produce more estrogen. There are instances of men using soy protein supplements and working out like crazy only to develop breasts. Me, I'm trying to lose the man boobs.)Based on everything I've learned thus far whey isolates are the best and most pure form of protein for the body. Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I have both a workout log and a website where I track my workouts and diet.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Set goals. Goals are the most important motivator. And don't just set goals...write them down and keep them in a place where you constantly have to see them and be reminded that you are pursuing something. Set goals.
