How I Started:
I used to be a competitive swimmer, stopped doing that and got fat. Finnaly one day I decided I hated being pear shaped and starting lifting with some friends. I fell in love with the dicipline and the feeling of heavy weights in my hands, the old competitive streek helped too.
Why I Love It:
The discipline it teaches me, it keeps me focused mentally and keeps me healthy. It took 6 months of injury for me to truly see how much I love this sport.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to be the best me possible, quitting is simply not an option.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm not a bodybuilder, just a big guy who likes to lift heavy and exercise a lot.

Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee
For now my short term goal are to compete in both a half marathon and a half-Ironman triathlon in the spring/summer of 2009. I have been training hard for 3 months, and hope to continue to see even more improvement in my endurance and speed during the time I have left.
Long term, I want to be in the best physical shape I can be in. Both in strength, and cardiovascular.
