This was taken on my 40th b-day. As you can see, im outta shape with my belly at 46.5 inches. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, low esteem, no motivation, out of breath, and out of shape !!! The reason why I was smiling was that I knew I was gonna tear up that cupcake in 3.8 seconds !!!
Feelin good and feelin healthy. Blood pressure is normal along with my cholesterol. Doctor didn't recognize me when she saw me for my follow-up :)
Now that im 40 years old, I wanted to change my life by getting healthy for myself, my children, and my family. Last year ( 2006 ), I weight in at an astonishing 278 pounds. I ran out of breath when I played with my children at the park in less than 30 seconds. I told myself that I need to get healthy to see my kids grow up and to see grandchildren in my future. Now that im 238 pounds after 1 year of working out and dieting, I feel that im the healthest i've been in my life. My goal is to continue this lifestyle for the rest of my life and to educate, motivate, and show people that it can be done properly.
What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
Stairmaster: Its low impact on my joints. I'll usually set the level at 6 or so just to keep the session intense as possible. 45 minute session is the norm.

Those plateaus are frustrating, but you will break through it. Keep working at it! That's great that your clothes are fitting loosely. =0) Glad to hear it's going good for you!
