Background

When I Started: Aug 1990
HOW I STARTED:

Took an aerobic dance class in college in 1990. Then went back to college in 1998 and took weight lifting classes. Fell in love with being fit.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love the feeling of being fit, healthy and full of energy. I want to live a long and healthy life. When I get into my 80's and 90's you won't find me sitting on the couch watching soap operas. Hell NO!

I do 5-10 minutes of cardio for a warmup before each training session.

Cardio: 2-3 times per week HIIT for 20-30 minutes

My Motivation Program

I stay motivated a few different ways. One is, I hope this insn't too harsh but I take a look at other people who are either sick(from lack of taking care of themselves), obese(from eating crap), weak(physically and mentally), alcoholics or have an unhealthy lifestyle. They unknowingly inspired me to GET healthy and STAY healthy. I do not want to be like them - physically. I will do whatever workout it takes and eat what I have to eat for fuel to keep as fit and as healthy as I can be for the rest of my life. This is NOT a phase. It is ME taking MY HEALTH into my own hands. No one is responsible for my health and fitness except for... uhh ME!

Before Pictures

I'm was wondering if I should post my "down time" pictures. I've been in shape for most of my life - ever during pregnancy I didn't gain too much weight. After I competed a few times in 2003-2004 I stopped working out and dieting for just under 2 years. I couldn't stand looking and feeling that way so I went back to my fitness lifestyle and vowed to myself to never let myself get off track like that again.
