I got started Powerlifting back when I was 12 yrs old. April 13, 2001 I literally started lifting on the first day of my first meet I competed in. My uncle, nephew and father was competing that day, and i decided i wanted to compete too. And to top it all off, i set a new idaho state record that day for the WABDL.org. Since that day I was hooked!
Why I Love It:
I love working out because i LOVE the PUMP and I love the PAIN. Ever heard of that "no pain no gain," it aint no playin'. And the results you reap down the road... priceless. Plus i am very competitive at just about everything i do, so its almost a natural area for me for my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Thats a tricky one...Previously I havent been very motivated to work out (were talking for like 16 - 18 months = not 1 time in the gym) Partially that is thanks to my previous job (roofing), working 12hr. shifts, great for the back/ bad for post-energy for training. Which is the (ONLY) reason I went for a "desk-job". To have all the energy possible to train. Ive been working out and competing on my own since i was about 13 - 14yrs old. So I have to be very self-motivated. Since my decision to start back w/ my education at BSU, I discovered that I can still run fairly quick at sprinting, as quick as i did back in high school, but now with no training yet. So, I'm dedicating myself to improving for the Sprints at BSU! so i guess... "Keeping vision on future glory" is my motivation. To break through genetic limitations (lol, im a whitey) and to be elligible for the Olympic trials in 2012.

God dwelleth in you."

Was never much into "bodybuilding competitions" specifically, powerlifting got me started in this game. As soon as I am done with sprints at BSU (4 years), I will be doing Bodybuilding competitions then, because ya know... the whole staying as light as possible w/ as much power you can generate for sprinting.

just before i stopped lifting. Not by choice, by laziness lol, well that and work and a life sucking ex-fiance Lmao
To Be the biggest I can be, and to even everything out while adding another 15lbs. and staying around 5-6% bf.
Goal (Long):
Forget track this is Bodybuilding!!! lol, well ill still try that, but my main focus now is on bodybuilding, especially evening everything out: bring up rear delts/ add some size to triceps/ add tons of size to calfs/ even out chest... especially upper middle chest.
just some goals... specifically.
And eventually continue with my modeling career for A&F. and be in fitness mags. and then when im big enough i want to compete in bodybuilding.
thanks. im starting some low impact cardio every morning for 30 mins, then about 10 mins of cardio after lifting in the PM, so hope it all works well for me...then there's the diet, of course, which i have down to a science...sort of.
I hear that! Being fast is cool, but its a hidden attribute. Being huge on the other hand. Everything about it is awesome. I just need to start working on the cuts part. Im cutting right... I hate the diet. Bulking is so much more fun!
At least you got it all together. You've got a great build for it, so Im sure when you decide to get back into body building you will be able to pack it on quick. How you likin the Fast Twitch?
