How I Started:
I have always been fit (relatively), but began focusing on running when I spent time caring for my mother (who had emphysema) The running mentally helped me, the weightlifting helped the running :)

All right here it is, not a great picture, but I was happy at that time. I could run a 10k, had energy and was ok with my shape. I weighed about 125, no idea what my bf was at that time, but I would wear a bikini to the beach.  No Comment.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Educate yourself on training.

Not lifting heavy enough. Ladies put down those 5lb weights and pick up some heavy metal.
