Overall Goal: I've reached the point where there are no gains. So now, I am learning to be content on just maintaining. Training solo has its downside. No motivator to make you go that extra mile so you give up. So as is, is the best, and the best, is as is.
Fit Status:
Chinups with 50-75 lbs hanging to the body. That = 235 lbs total.
I been training off and on for years. Going in a 6-730 am. No progress. In March, I started going on my lunch hour. 30 minute intense circuit training everyday. 15 minutes a body part. In the last 30 days, I have seen remarkable change, more energy and strength. So my change officially started March 3, 2008.
Why I Love It:
Feels great. Look better. Get stronger and it helps promote better health.
How I Stay Motivated:
I hit the gym at 6:00 am each weekday and start out with Calisthenics for my 450 reps in 15 mins workout that I designed for me. Then I do my body parts of the day. I also do a calis/lifting combo workout now. I have had great gains and a mega source of of energy and endurance.
BB Accomplishments:
I had double rotator cuff surgeries. I had to start over from scratch. Bar pounds only on the Smith machine. BTW: The Smith Machine is my hero. As of 9-4-08, I have maxed 250 on bench press. For me that is a major accomplishment.
Forum Signature:
Give a boy a barbell, and he will train for a day. Teach a boy how to workout and he will train for a lifetime.

Goal (Long):
1. I have genetic Hypertension. Trying to stay active to keep pressure down and stay active without taking medication.
2. To feel good about myself and look better. Get stronger and keep healthy.
John is an achiever as his BB title indicates. He has made an amazing progression in such a short time. He is also very helpful willing to reach out and share what he feels can help others achiever like himself. Unlike some who are stuck on themselves and put others down, by not replying or ignoring the lesser or struggling ones. John is very friendly and real good person. He motivates me not only by keeping me going, but by seeing him achieve his goal in life. To be successful. Thanks John.
There is something so special about Mark. At 15 this kid has amazed me from day one. He is so dedicated as all are, but he even goes to the next level. He is transforming in front of my eyes. He impresses and motivates me so much each time he posts new pics. He is an amazing kid and I see a big future ahead of him. If he looks like this at 15, I cant even imagine what he will look like by 16, 17 with his track record. Keep up the fantastic work lil brother. You totally rock Mark. Great kid.
So today I made my goal on the leg press. 1000 lbs on the leg press. That really made my day. I am so hype over this. This may seem like very light work for some bodybuilders, but for me this was a great feat. I am very proud of myself. Especially since I been training for a year last week and...
Hey buddy, you may believe you have reached ur limit but you never know it may just be a lil setback...since weve been in the same boat with shoulder surgery as a setback try this out, take a week off and relax...eat healthy and enjoy some recreational activities away from training then get back to it HARD. Keep track of every lift, measurements and, ur weight, im sure you will make some gains and then celebrate those gains!
That goal sounds so defeatist. :-(
Man, you'll make some more gains soon. You'll probably just need a brand new stimulus but eh, you'll figure that one out. :-) You're right though. Solo training does have its drawbacks.
Things are goin good Eric! Yesterday I finally got released from doctor care of my shoulder and my body is responding well right now with my training. You say bulkin aint workin for yuh, whatcha gonna do?
Thanks bro, congratulations on your transformation looking great! Think i'm gonna have to start doing some cardio in couple weeks or so :/ starting to gain to much fat though, thanks for the motivation, dnt worry not giving up anytime soon love going to the gym : D
