When I Started:
How I Started:
Been lifting off and on since I was a teenager, always to gain some weight. Because of life/health situations over the last 10 years or so I've been keeping at it pretty steadily.
Why I Love It:
It's always been a hobby for me and a part of my life. In more recent years it has just become a much bigger part of my life. I love every aspect of it, it's always been a positive force in my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's always inspiring/motivating to see what others have accomplished, to read about their stories, the work they've done and continue to do. There are always people who represent what I'd like to achieve. But, the feeling that comes from stopping and looking at myself, seeing what I've achieved, physically, emotionally and health wise, realize what I'm capable of achieving, witnessing my own transformations and accomplishments, this feeling is priceless. This is probably what motivates me the most.

Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I keep a workout log on the computer, showing the date, the exercises done with that routine, listed in the order that they're done, along with the amounts of weight-reps-sets that I do of each. It works well for me, as my computer-office shares my workout area in the house, and while I'm working out I can see what I did the previous week and see my gains as I go along. It is also sort of motivation to see what I did last week, and to now try to best it if even by a small amount. Where do you get your workout programs?
By checking out different programs and what other people are doing, researching different things. Then I put something together that I think will work for me and give it a go. I'm always changing things around a little bit as I go along. If it works I keep it, if it doesn't I either chagne it so it does or leave it alone.By checking out different programs and what other people are doing, researching different things.
