So after a year off, and 30 unwelcome pounds gained. I get back at it this week.

So I had a pretty serious back injury just now feeling better after 1.5 months not lifting I feel like a slug. Gonna start back up tomorrow.

Background

When I Started: Oct 2008
HOW I STARTED:

In Oct. 2008 I was just shy of 270. I couldn't walk up the stairs in my house with out breathing hard. and was extremelly unhealthy

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love body building bedcause of the way my wife looks at me now. I wouldn't trade that feeling for the world.

Reaching goals

So 8 months ago I started lifting weights again, and when I started I couldn't even bench 140 Lbs. I set a goal to bench over 300 by new years, and tonight i did 2 sets of 5 reps @ 305 Lbs. Moral of this story (if you dream it you can achieve it)

Drinking

Anyone ever feel like crap the day after drinking to much? I don'ty feel like crap because of a hangover, it's more because I let myself down. I spend all this time properly hydrating and eating clean to blow it by drinking to much and pissing out all my water and electrolytes.

I love my wife!

I don't know what any of your reasons for getting fit were, but for me it was the opportunity to spend a longer life with the one I love so much. MY WIFE! We've been together since she was 15 and I was 17. That was 2 beautiful kids ago, and 23 years.
