I think your right about the need to back off on intensity once in a while. Even with low frequency workouts and low set counts, I find I can easily 'burn-out' when I kep going full bore. I also agree about the deadlifts and squats. Sdaly my knees are starting to really play up when squatting, but I love deadlifts. Thanks for the thoughts bjt..much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the site. I can totally connect with your experiences as they are very similar to my own..loads and loads of hard work, increased strength..but VERY slow progress. But like you I keep at it..thats what its all about. Good to have you on board man.

Your pull-ups astound me. I am slowly bulding up but a long way off!!! Has it always been a naturally strong move for you or was it a planned progression from the start?

I'd just like to say that you go up in my estimation, as unlike most of the other pro's who have a space on this site you actually post and blog. Respect Mr Robinson.

Good luck to you on your journey. Staying motivated can be hard, but just remember that it is a marathon and not a sprint, so play for the long game and dont get too down if things dont change quickly.

Thanks for the thoughts. It's very true, I can usually tell what I 'should do' in terms of resting up a bit (especially at my age when the injuries are starting to pile up!), but not always so easy to give myself 'permission' to rest a bit if you understand what I mean! Thanks for your thoughts. Much appreciated.

That's nice of you to say, thanks man...I'll keep rambling on and posting (if I can stay injury free enough!).If it's of some use I'm glad to hear that.

lol...fair dues...you have a point. Not brave enough to post a picture yet myself, but going to set it as a goal. I'll probably keep my pants (in England pants are underwear) on though! Keep up the good work yourself.

Hi Sarah. Thanks for the comment, it was very much appreciated. I only wish there was an easier way to find out what it is that works for me! All this trial and error stuff is very time consuming!!! Thanks again.
