When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I've always watched bodybuilding and fitness competitions on TV when I was younger. My EX was also into bodybuilding and he somewhat inspired me (never motivated me though )to look and be more healthy. In 2006 I went through a major transformation and I love the transformation that my body went through and it's been on since.
Why I Love It:
Working out makes me feel so good. When I know that I am at the top of my game I feel like I can conquer anything. I also like the results from taking the time to take care of myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
I try to practice the concept of Mind over Body...that seems to keep me in line most of the time. I also involve myself with people who inspire me and who are into health and fitness even more than I am. I also enjoy looking at the profiles and reading the articles here at bodybuilding.com to stay informed, inspired and motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
Everyday that I hit the gym is a major accomplishment for me.
I want to have a lean, cut, vascular look 24/7...365!!!
Goal (Long):
I want to be the Lady that sticks out like a sore thumb...not because I'm loud, dressed inapproprite, or trying too hard...But becasue I'm healthy, physically fit, mentally stable, and confident not conceded or arrogant. I look up to people (females especially)that takes the time out to take care of 'self.' My ultimate goal is to motivate and inspire others to reach their fitness goals as we all look up to God for blessing us with the discipline and the ability to push it to the limits and make these Awesome transformations happen!
I don't know her personally but I had the privilege to see her compete in July 2009 and let me tell ya...AMAZING figure! She walked on the stage with so much confidence and beauty. I was cheering and hollering for her that alot of people that attended the show thought we were family! I am very inspired and motivated by any woman (especially those of color...and those from the 'South') that takes the time to take care of self.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
I am even more confident in my job performance. I also take on more task that I use to be afraid of because I had the fear that someone is always watching me...It doesn't bother me now. I can do a presentation in front of a crowd, or train a group of people that I've never met before with great pleasure.I am even more confident in my job performance.
