sorry for the late reply, nope I didn't do anything for my forearms. I guess the best thing I can say is don't use straps. Just get your forearms accustomed to holding large amounts of weight. As you get stronger, your forearms will follow.

I hit my forearms with back ..and on the arms day ...reverse curls ...preacher curls ..heavy dumbbell hold right after wrist curls
