When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
At first, I was a chubby kid till about age 10, when I became really sick and lost about 10 to 20 pounds. From that point on I was always skinny and I was OK with it. Never really could gain any weight, but I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound. Then, when I was about 15, I saw msyelf in a picture with my family. I absolutely hated the way I looked. My mom even mentioned how sick I looked! It was at that point that I kind of just got depressed. I thought about working out, but I would just think about how it wouldn't make a difference and I wouldn't have the time. Then, a new gym opened down the street and my mom got two passes. I decided to go just to check it out. I was hooked! I loved lifting weights, running, swimming, etc. Even though i was finally working out, my gains were minimal. I put on weight, but I wasn't ripped like I wanted to be. So, I looked into bodybuilding more and more. By January 2007, I found The Truth about Muscle building by Sean Nalewanyj. Honestly, that book changed my life. It helped me realize what was holding me back. 1. I was doing everything wrong and 2. My diet sucked. From that point on, I decided to live a healthy life.
Why I Love It:
I love it because you get an amazing sense of accomplishment once you've lifted weight you once thought that you never could. Plus, being healthy and having a six pack is just icing on the cake.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep telling myself that there is nothing that I can't do. I set my mind on how much weight I am about to lift, constantly tell myself not to give up no matter how much it hurts, and then once I am done it's a feeling unlike any other. That and proving everybody wrong who says I can't gain any weight.
BB Accomplishments:
Adding 120 pounds on my Barbbell squats in two and a half months time. That and gaining 11 pounds in less than 3 months.

Here's the thing. I haven't been able to workout regularly in about three weeks. I was sick for a week, then I was on a trip to Europe for 10 days, then I came home and am now sick again. I am finally starting to feel better, but unfortunately, I lost about 5 to ten pounds and I'm freaking...
Hey, sorry... been a while since I've been on! The workouts are going great! I started a new six day a week split with a push, pull, and leg day that I'm lovin! losing bodyfat and gaining muscle so it doesn't get better than that! how about you?
Thanks Blake. The family and I had a great time at the beach. Man, I hope your back starts to feel better soon. I can not imagine training with back pain. -Jeff
I appreciate your encouraging words. Thanks. Hard to comment on your progress without any pics, but you sound dedicated from your profile info. God bless, man!
Hey man the workouts are coming along real good, training for a powerlifting comp end of the month and each week my weight keeps peaking like I am planning so things are going great
you read all of it? haha i've been up all night righting it haven't gone to bed yet, but i slept all day yesterday cuz i was travelling around Vancouver BC and i kept falling asleep so im pretty rested right now
You've really been packin' on the weight this past year...and keeping the BF nice and tight!..great job..think about showing us some photos. Bet you'd have a great transformation pic profile to show back from a year ago compared to now..
I hope that your training is still going well and that you are well on your way to your goal for this summer. I enjoy seeing you young lads hitting the gym instead of doing a lot of other stuff that isn't near as healthy.
Keep up the good work.
