I started in 1994 and used to be in damn good shape, but I tore my rotator cuff in 1998 and laid off for a while. I then started working out sporadically and slowly began a decline to the point I am now.
Sad ain't it....
Now that I have made up my mind, I am getting back into the lifestyle. I really want to see how far I can go naturally.
Why I Love It:
I love the energy and motivation I get from it. I don't want this to sound conceited, but it also gives me a sense of pride in myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
That is the reason for me joining this site. It is my firm belief that to surround yourself with like minded people you will strive for like minded results.
You all have to admit that was deep...That's the thing I only want to have the wisdom of the Buddha, not look like him...lol
Another thing is I am not looking to hook-up or whatever else people call it these days. I am interested in making friends to discuss issues and maybe find a reliable workout partner. I am happily married to 'The One' and wouldn't ruin that for anything.
I probably can't give you the best bodybuilding advice, but I can answer most Real Estate questions...if that helps.
BB Accomplishments:
None...Yet.

Gain 10 lbs of muscle and dropping 50 lbs of fat in one year!!!
Goal (Long):
In one year I anticipate dropping 50 lbs of fat and gaining 10 lbs of muscle. This should have me right around 220lbs and 10% bodyfat.
For starters I am now working out a minimum of four days a week (1 on/1 off) making sure to hit each body part at least once a week. The off days I have consist of cardio workouts of at least 30 minutes. I intend this to get me in the groove and will allow me to dial in my diet, which is where I need the most work. My problem is maintaining portion control.
I have to ask a serious question. I am reading some conflicting advise on how many sets are too many.
I have been doing roughly 12 - 16 sets for large body parts (chest, legs) and between 9-12 sets for smaller parts (biceps, triceps). Some are saying I am not doing enough and some are saying...
