Well, I just started working out after about ten years. I played high school football and was in great shape in those days. I have really let myself go. I have been deployed for the last two months supporting the war on terror. While at my deployed location I have been working out and have seen some results. My goal is to build a better body and increase my health. My wife is excited about seeing me in a few weeks. My biggest hurtle will be getting home and continuing my efforts.
Why I Love It:
I like to see results, but I really don't enjoy working out. I started my program out of bordom between flights. When I started to see results I got more into it. I changed my diet and work out every day I'm off. If I miss a day I fill like I have let myself down. That being said I have rarely missed a day since starting.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing little changes in my body, and increasing the weight in my routine. I get excited about that.

this is 6 weeks after starting my program. I started at 236lbs and am now 214lbs. My goal is to be 210 lean.
Getting a little leaner. Still working to my goal of 210 @ 9% Body Fat.
I am tired of being "Average Joe". I want a leaner more muscled look while being as healthy as I can. For too long I have sat on the couch, it's my life and I will take it back. I plan on losing wieght and packing on lean muscle mass. My end result for now will be 210 pounds lean.
Well I left my deployed location, got home and fell right back into my old routin. I was home for about 40 days and gained 9 lbs.... I felt like shit and let myself down. OK, with that said, I am deployed again and working out just as hard as I did before. The good news is I am in better shap...
man I'm glad you contacted me; lost a bunch of messages by mistake and couldn't remeber your screen name. Can you PM me again with all that stuff and I promise to get right back to you.
Well I don't work out in the morning, but i would suggest maybe some Whey protien and an apple. Definately someting light. Also maybe a prework out supplement. I've been using White Flood by Controlled Labs and it works wonderful. Lots of energy throughout the workout and good muscle pumps. But other than that something light should be good.
Yeah I know what you mean. Home station is definately a lot harder to get things accomplished. I try to just go in early or stay late on the days I work. Or if I can go on my lunch hour. It all works out. Just remember if you have an hour to sit on the couch and watch tv, you've got an hour to be either out running or lifting.
Hey well had to start somewhere right. You'll do great. You've got a good plan set up and seemed determined. I mean there is not much else to do while deployed so might as well lift something.
