Before firefighting training, when I was taking a serious look at how I was going to change how my body looked and functioned.
I've hit a major plateau. I'm doing lots of cardio, feels great, but I have a ravenous, bottomless-pit kind of hunger that makes it hard to stick to a low carb diet, especially when always surronded by fruit. I'm experimenting with different ways to chill my appetite...we'll see.
My goal is to lose body fat and gain muscle. I want to see the outline of my abs.
Goal (Long):
I've been overweight since I was eight or nine years old and hated it. Although I've kept physically active I never felt like I had control over of my appetite. So while I’d wake up early to do cardio at the gym and eat relatively clean, I’d eat large portions and at times starve myself, slowing my metabolism. This almost life-long struggle is coming to an end as I've finally found control over my diet through looking at how other people have transformed their bodies on this site and in fitness magazines. Short-term I want to look smokin’ for the summer to wear skimpier clothing, generally I want the body I always dreamed of and longer term I want to be a wild firefighter next summer.
Congratulations on a gradual but consistent progress. Once you can control your diet, you'll be surprised how nicely our body responds. Sorry to hear about PCOS. Even more important to stick to a great clean diet.
