Background
I never really took fitness seriously until I joined the military in 2006. After BMT I realized how good I felt being in shape so I started doing pushups and situps every chance I got and would go to the gym and do what I thought at the time was weightlifting, but in 2009 I started putting on weight that I didn't want and I was fed up with it, so I started doing some research and buying books and reviewing programs until finally I created a program that fit my lifestyle and my goals.
I love the feeling of accomplishment you get after reaching a new 1RM and the feeling sore the next day being a reminder of your accomplishments. I like the increase in confidence you obtain just from knowing that your becoming a better person a stronger more healthier you.

For cardio I plan on sticking to running due to the fact that I am in the military and need to get faster. The running is going to be divided into what I like to call "cycles" where one cycle is 2 weeks long. For the first cycle I will be doing sprints to raise my VO2 max and on the alternating cycle I will be running a 5k.
