When I Started:
Mar, 2007
How I Started:
My friend Grant initially wanted to get stronger so I went with him to spot and work out a little myself. I liked some of the results I was getting and decided to get more serious about my body and fitness.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it relieves stress and allows me to eat almost anything I want. Seeing the results definitely helps too.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep thinking of the need to be in the best condition of my life in order to keep up with all the sports I enjoy. I also plan to try and play some NCAA soccer and maybe football, basketball or gymnastics. Billy Crudup as Doctor Manhattan in the upcoming Watchmen movie is also a big motivator. He's the ripped blue guy for those of you who aren't familiar with the series.
BB Accomplishments:
I knocked off 4% body fat while remaining the same weight. I'm still hoping to knock off an additional 2% which would put me at 5% body fat.
I tried a workout I found in Muscle & Fitness magazine to get 25% stronger in 8 weeks and managed to increase at least that much and as high as 35% in some areas in that 8 week regimen.
100 m dash: 11.97 sec
200 m dash: 25.51 sec
400 m dash: 1 min 1 sec
1600 m: 6 min 15 sec, pathetic
40 yd dash: 4.87 sec

Just started a six-pack in six weeks diet and exercise program, results should be noticeable in as little as two weeks.
Goal (Long):
I need to be strong and fast for sports so I'm trying to do what most athletes need to be able to do in order to be versatile and effective: jump higher, run faster, change direction easily, and get stronger.
I mix it up with hammer curls, preacher curls, straight barbell curls, and controlled curls with rope and a rack of plates. By alternating the order, weight, reps, and exercises the muscles don't plateau.I mix it up with hammer curls, preacher curls, straight barbell curls, and controlled curls with rope and a rack of plates. So I tried something called the "Death March" plus a whole bunch of other stuff while my friend Grant and I were at the track a few days ago. Basically, the "Death March" consists of one lap around the track of nothing but lunges. We only did 250 meters worth before our...
