My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Philosophy

Lift even after you're tired.

Tiring quickly in the gym can cut your workout in half and gain you nothing! As I start to fatigue I remember that I'll regret leaving at that moment so I get another set in or start a different muscle group as to ensure I maximize my time and energy. I have try to get to the gym 4-5 time a week and work two major muscle groups at each session.

Hard Gainer Gaining!

Being a "Hard Gainer" I struggle with burning through food like a Californian blaze in July... I have to constantly eat high calorie foods to ensure I don't lose the ground I've made. I usually find myself seeking high protein foods with a carb accent. The fats will come.

A hand up from a lab.

I never took supplimentation into consideration when trying to add mass, but over this last summer I have learned a little differently.

I take a multi-vitamin chewable and fish oil daily to keep my body healthy even though I'm putting it through a lot of stressful activities. On top of that, of course, I try to get a whey protein drink in daily. When I manage my time wiseless I'll also drink casein before bed to feed my muscles while sleeping. Always after a workout I'll drink my BCAA/Glutamine suppliment to keep my muscles fed and functioning properly.

I believe I'll be trying some new things in the future such as creatine, but as of right now I'll continue with this routine.

Getting pumped to lift!

I seek out individuals that really work for their gains and that inspires me to get in the gym and do the same.

Also I love finding a great article about methods to mix things up and work my muscles differently. This breeds a desire to continue and strive for more growth!

RPullen Should I NOT work a muscle group twice in a week even if it is a weak point of mine?

  • You can, as long as that muscle group is recovered from the previous workout. I do that a lot with smaller muscle groups, especially if they are harder to isolate.

Bronzebird Here is a sample list to get me through meal to meal with snacks. Raw Almonds 2lbs Canned Salmon 1lb, stor 1/4 pound servings in tupperwar. Boiled eggs, 2 per snack Sirlon Roast, 3 or 4 pounds, Beef stew in Croc Pot, Freeze left overs in ready to go tupperware Frozen chicken breast about 8 in a bag. Salsa and corn chips anytime! Cottage Cheese 4% with canned peaches or pineapple. Try Chicken Adobo in the Croc Pot and tear it up! Eat to grow and enjoy the energy! Nov 2, 2012 11:21am
